Frequently asked questions
What is Sovereign Care Collective?
Sovereign Care Collective is a membership-based community that supports a proactive, root-cause approach to wellness.
It’s designed to help you better understand your health, explore functional and holistic care, and request support for eligible wellness expenses through a shared contribution model.
Is Sovereign Care Collective health insurance?
No. Sovereign Care Collective is not insurance and does not replace insurance. There are no claims, approvals, or guarantees of payment.
It is a voluntary membership that supports wellness choices through a shared community model.
How does membership work?
You join with a simple monthly contribution.
As a member, you can:
● Access wellness education and resources
● Work with practitioners of your choice
● Submit eligible expenses for reimbursement consideration
How do reimbursements work?
● Pay for eligible wellness services
● Upload your receipt in your member portal (name must match the member)
Requests are reviewed quarterly:
March 31
June 30
September 30
December 31
A 5-day grace period is allowed for end-of-quarter services. After this period, receipts are no longer eligible for processing.
Reimbursements are processed following the review period.
How much can I request for reimbursement?
Each membership has a quarterly reimbursement limit based on total contributions, with up to an additional 15% supported by the community pool.
Current limits:
Individual: up to $300
Couples: up to $525 (shared)
Family: up to $800 (shared)
Couples and families share one reimbursement pool. Any member may use the available amount.
Is reimbursement guaranteed?
No.
Reimbursements are not guaranteed. Requests are reviewed based on eligibility, available funds, and the sustainability of the community pool. However, SCC is built to support members by carefully reviewing each request and working to reimburse eligible expenses whenever possible.
Is there a waiting period for reimbursement?
Yes.
New members have a 90-day waiting period before submitting requests. After this period, receipts may be submitted during the next reimbursement cycle.
This structure helps maintain stability within the shared community model.
